FEBRUARY STYLE FOCUS - MODERN MID CENTURY

Choosing a style to follow as a guide when re-decorating can be a fantastic way to make the process a lot more manageable. What I have found is that most of my homeowners often struggle with finding an identity for their home, especially one they can connect with. Mid Century is a style that has really come to the for front again in Interior Design & Architecture.

Modern Mid Century Aesthetics include/but are not limited to: - honest wood/concrete/steel materials - chunky textiles (linen, wool, leather) - spatial layouts that focus on entertaining rather than television - minimal pattern, but can be introduced into accessories & art - although the modern aspect doesn't embrace clutter, it is a great style if you are a collector and love to display a wee ensemble in your home - iconic colours are mustard/grey linens/amber/burnt orange/mod blues-greens - walls mostly painted in the living areas, but some wallpaper through into personal spaces

If you spot something you love about my collage please feel free to comment and I can tell you where to find the products/finishes.
