February Focus - MODERN MID CENTURY - How To Concrete Beautifully

We see far more concrete used as a beautiful & appreciated material now more than ever. This movement from industry into homes was really bought about during mid century. I really want to highlight that you can introduce this material in so many different and interesting ways, especially if your not a new build, and are thinking of getting stuck into DIY.

1. Faux well done - Effects paints are getting better than ever now. Make that ordinary GIB wall into the 'main supporting' feature in your home using Dulux Concrete Effects

2. Its all in the detail - Book Ends and Pots are fantastic for adding those finishing touches. At the same time you can use them to show of a favorite collection of books which is very Mid Century

3. Bench it - Concrete has many durable attributes as well. Check out the link for reasons to use concrete in your bathroom

4. If you love the idea of a concrete floor but it is not practical in your existing home I suggest tiles, there are some gorgeous abstracts that will achieve the next best thing if not better

5. Light it up - There are some funky, in-expensive lighting options that are readily available with a concrete effect. Pendants like this are great to draw attention to a particular zone.
